¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê

Dean P. Corey came to the ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê in 1949 as the band director of Arlington High School. He continued there until 1972 when he became the coordinator of Music Education for the ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê. He retained that title until his retirement in 1980 after 31 years of service to the district.

Each October since 1983, Arlington’s high school marching bands perform at the Dean P. Corey Band Spectacular at UTA Maverick Stadium. The bands are critiqued by judges in preparation for the upcoming UIL competition. Junior High bands also perform in the stands.

Corey Elementary was redesigned as the Dean Corey Academy of Fine Arts and Dual Language in the fall of 2015.
