Full scholarships for pre-K 4 students
There are already several ways for students to qualify for free pre-K in the 极速六合彩.聽
That list is growing for the 2021-22 school year as the 极速六合彩 will offer scholarships to families who don鈥檛 otherwise qualify for free聽4-year-old聽pre-K.聽
鈥淭his is a big initiative for us,鈥澛爏aid聽Arlington聽ISD superintendent Dr. Marcelo Cavazos. 鈥淲e know the importance of starting聽school聽at a young age, and a pre-K education is the best way to do that. Providing scholarships is a huge investment for the district, but one that we feel is necessary to set our students up for the best opportunities to succeed.鈥澛
To be eligible for the scholarship, a child must be at least four years old before Sept. 1, 2021. Eligible families who don鈥檛 qualify for free pre-K and who meet the income guidelines will be considered.
Scholarship priority聽will be given聽to children who reside within the 极速六合彩 school attendance zones,聽and聽proof of income聽is聽required for all adults living in the household.听听
You must register for pre-K before applying for a scholarship.聽You can download the scholarship application聽at聽www.aisd.net/prek.聽Email the application and all supporting documents to聽pkscholarship@aisd.net.聽The聽deadline聽for scholarship applications is May 14 and applicants聽will be聽notified聽by May 21.听听
Scholarship students will be registered at their home campus or the closest school if pre-K seats are not available.聽Applying for a scholarship does not guarantee eligibility.聽
In addition to the scholarship opportunities, students can qualify for free pre-K by meeting at least one of the following eligibility requirements:聽
- The child of an active-duty member of the聽United State armed forces聽or a member of the armed forces who was injured or killed while serving on active聽duty
- Is or ever has been in foster聽care
- Child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award
- 极速六合彩less
- Unable to speak and comprehend the English聽language
- Educationally disadvantaged; eligible to participate in the national free or reduced-price lunch program.
