In 1989-1990 I began and have since been teaching for ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê. One advantage of teaching is the ability to travel during the summer. In 1998 I traveled through Costa Rica recording the experience with a camcorder along the way. I wanted to remember the experience and began editing hours of video tape into minutes of memories. A family friend owns and operates a travel company and they began showing my VCR tape to some of their clients. That was the start of my love for non-linear video editing. Over the years I have filmed and edited countless events and enjoyed each one. I am so excited for the opportunity to share the video and audio production knowledge I have gained over the years.

I graduated from Arlington Sam Houston High School were I took several photography classes. It was at this time I made the decision to become a professional photographer. After graduation I enlisted into the United States Navy and served 22 years as a Navy Photographer, traveling throughout the world. After retiring from the USN, I was employed as a Forensic Photographer with the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office. I eventually went back to school to complete my bachelor’s degree in business administration/management, while continuing working as a professional photographer. In 2015, an opportunity became available for me to become a Photography Teacher with ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê. Prior to being selected for assignment to Dan Dipert Career + Technical Center, I was a Photography Teacher at Lamar High School.

I have been an educator for 23 years, 20 of those in ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê. I was also a Coach for 18 of those 23 years, coaching at Young Jr. High, a Cedar Hill MS, Seguin(Twice) and Sam Houston HS.

I have a bachelor's degree in computer science from Dillard University.ÌýI was named Teacher of the Year for the 2020-2021 school year and I am the Workforce Pathway chair for the Arts and AV/Marketing department at the Dan Dipert Career and Technical Center in Arlington, Texas. I currentlyÌýteach Graphic Design I and II as well as Video Game Programming.

I have 2 sons, 25 and 20. They both graduated from ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê high schools in 2016, from Sam Houston and 2021, from Seguin. I love graphics design in addition to sponsoring E-Sports and Robotics.
