Nov. 10, 2017 - The Citizens Bond Oversight Committee met last night for its quarterly review of the status and progress of the 2014 Bond program. Led by ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê Chief Financial Officer Cindy Powell, ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê staff gave updates on the various areas of the bond: fine arts; safety, security and technology; transportation; and facilities.

The meeting was held at the new ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê Dan Dipert Career and Technical Center. CTC Principal Ginger Poelster gave the committee a tour of the new facility, which opened at the beginning of the school year, and dinner was prepared by ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê culinary students.

The 169,800 square-foot CTC - a major project of the 2014 Bond program - offers juniors and seniors from all ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê high schools 27 programs of study, including 17 that are new to the district. The facility, along with the new Agricultural Science Center, can accommodate more than 4,700 students each week.
